it is happening in the hillside park neighborhood of daly city. that's where christie smith joins us live with a look at the cleanup efforts. good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you. the streets are surprisingly clean this morning. we are standing in hillside park which is still caked under about three feet of mud. now that it is getting lighter out here i want on show you what we saw in the corner of the park. you see there, the top there, that is actually a picnic table. that shows you how much mud is still here. concern, though, is what's going to happen to all of this and the hillside behind it when the heavy rains hit. cleanup will continue today and engineers were actually up on that hillside checking its stability yesterday after a huge section gave way when a water pipe broke, spilling about 45,000 gallons of water, sand and mud into the streets. 12 homes were evacuatie and mud into the streets. 12 homes were evacuativacuated. unfortunately the mud and water didn't get in those homes but cars were caked in at least two to three feet
